(B). cAMP/PKA activation or alcohol exposure leads to the release of RACK1 from the complex, enabling Fyn to phoshorylate the tyrosine residues on the cytoplasmic tail of the NR2B. (C). In the cerebral cortex, RACK1 is bound to Fyn but not to the NMDAR. (D). In the ventral striatum, RACK1 is not associated with either protein.
